Zoot Solana Review
The Zoot Solana is designed as a multi-purpose athletic shoe. Estimated at $100 a pair, it is made up of lightweight mesh synthetic materials which also enable the great flexibility of the shoes. It is also made up of BareFit which is Zoot’s shoe technology that provides greater fit, comfort and protection to its users.
Basically, once you try using the Zoot Solana, one of the most obvious feelings would be the comfort of the shoes. This may be attributed to the use of Zoot’s BareFit technology which provides users with additional comfort and ease once you slip on the shoes. The internal comfort is achieved by reducing the different friction points between your foot and the internal materials of the shoes. This is a positive aspect in using the Zoot Solana especially for high intensity users. The users are able to leverage the BareFit technology in order to achieve additional comfort while doing medium to high intensity workouts.
The Solana also provides a very flexible sole which is an important attribute for a running or athletic shoes. This adds more comfort especially for instances when runners do bursts of high intensity sprints. The great flexibility of the shoe also increases the user’s agility especially during instances when the user jumps or moves in various directions. Furthermore, the Solana only weighs 8.5oz which not only adds comfort to the user but provides additional foot relief.
In terms of its appearance, the Solana shoe skin makes use of a design that aims to reduce the risk of chafing. This adds to a higher probability in maintaining its physical aesthetics especially after being used for various low to high tempoactivities across different surfaces or environments.
One attribute that might affect the solidness of this athletic shoe might be the use of the shoe for high speed purposes. Runners might feel the need to have a little bit of firmness on the shoe in order to pick-up the speed and or go for that high speed sprints. Given this shoe is lightweight and provides additional cushioning, these attributes might influence the effectiveness of the runner on high speed runs.
Although the shoe is really comfortable to wear, the added comfort might affect the needed firmness other runners might need to be able to transition from a light to a faster pace movements. In terms of breathability, the shoe seems average since the mesh hole design are quite small and thus there might be a slight problem in terms of managing the heat and humidity inside the shoes. On another aspect, the smaller holes mesh design can also be appealing especially on wet surfaces where it can reduce the risk of precipitation entering the shoe.
